I am having this problem with my 301 reciver and I don't know what to do? Here's the problem. My reciver gives me an error like the satelite 119 lost recepition. But there is clear skys out side and my other reciver (501) work just fine. Now what I did first was I unplugged the reciver for about 15minutes and then it worked fine for about 7 minutes. Then the error came back again. Why is the reciver doing this? Is there something wrong with the reciver or is it the wiring? I tried calling dishnetwork and they were'nt much help. They were supposed to replace the reciver and they gave me the wrong one. They sent it again and they sent another wrong one. What should I do? Please Repond!!!!!

It can be anything between the Dish and the Reciever. What type of LNBF do you have (Dual, Quad, etc) Can you temporarily switch the recievers around? If the 301 does not work when you moved it and plugged it in where the 501 is, then there is something wrong with the 301. If the 501 is now where the 301 was and it has problems then it can be anytthing from the LNBF to the cabling. You can swap out the cabling coming from the Dish to see if the swapping causes the problem to move. Lots of potential permutations??? You probably want to unplug your recievers when you are swapping cables at the LNBF (if you get that far in diagnosis).

I have had a problem with a 721 pixelating/losing signal in and out constantly on one of the tuners. I also have a customer with a 301 that has been having a problem with his receiver going in and out and the signal does that on the signal screen while some transponders do not come in at all one does come in then goes to 0 then back up above 100. I replaced the wire on the 301 and it still does it.
