I need to reroute the power cable to my 301. I unplugged, moved the wire and plugged back in. Now it will not turn on. I tried removing smart card, holding the power button down for to reboot. The green light did not come on. Now after about two hours, the green light flashes real fast, but still will not come on.

Any ideas?

I had a similar problem once with my 501. What happened was it started downloading new software when my daughter turned off the unit in the middle of my show. I did something stupid and tried to stop it by turning it off to no effect so I unplugged it. When I plugged it back in I got a black screen with the green and red lights flashing. Resets would not work.

I had to have my unit replaced because once the software download gets interrupted sometimes recovery is not possible. It sounds like this is what happened to you. :crying:

I left the 3-1 unplugged all night. Today, I plugged it in and the green light came on and it worked.

This is the second time I had this happen. E* is RMA the unit. I am Dish Home Plan, so it it their problem to keep it running.
