I don't recall DISH ever recalling any junk they produced and they have put a lot into the marketplace. Much better chance you have a prank call rather than a legitimate offer. Where were you supposed to send your 311?

Anyone heard about this or have it happen? I had a dish CSR call on Friday even and tell me that they need to replace my 311 receiver because of a technical issues that was recently dicovered. They will replace it absolutely free, as long as I send the old receiver back within 45 days of that phone call. He gave me a RMA # and even a 800 number to call with questions. I am curious, has this happened to anyone else??

CSR said to follow the directions in the box. Just simply disconnect the 'old' receiver and connect the new receiver. Directions will be with the receiver. Place the old one in the box and use the prepaid shipping label to send it back.
