Haven't seen that but I wish they would have gone HD before the Olympics started. MSNBC & FOX should both be in HD before the election hits full stride.
I still haven't seen any plans for them to go HD, I wish they would though.

It has to do with DirecTV adding the interactive feature on these channels due to the Olympics. Pressing Exit should put it back to normal. Until the games are over, we'll have to deal with this problem.

had the correct response. This took care of the glitch. And a very odd glitch it is. Tune to the channel 4:3 as long as the banner is present (3 sec?) then presto 16:9 - stretch-o-vision. Hit the format button...it has been disabled. Turn to the next channel, its ok. Hit the format button, ok, 1080 pillar bar. Go back to 356, 4:3 till the banner goes away, presto 16:9. Two boxes (H20s) two tvs, same problem.

Lance22 knew that hitting exit reset the aspect ratio to 4:3. Thanks Lance22!!!:)

The same programming is available in HD on UHD (756) that is on MSNBC in SD.

Everything will be HD eventually, just a matter of time.
No doubt, just think speculation that they will be in HD by the conventions this month is just that. No announcements that they will be.

I have noticed that on one of the HD channels they have been using a MSNBC set back in the studio and it looks very nice in HD.
