10 days ago, my 622 suddenly started making my JVC receiver overload and shut off. They were connected via a Monster digital fiber-optic cable. I assumed it was the receiver, as it was seven years old and the 622 barely 6 weeks. So last Wed., I bought a high-end Onkyo receiver (703) -- which I love. But the receiver just shut off while playing back a recording of last night's CSI New York (in Digital Dolby, from CBS HD). The volume was moderate, not loud.

What gives?

I know the obvious answer is Call dish network and request a new 622. But I have something like 128 network primetime programs recorded to watch during TV-series hiatus in December.

This never happened with 921/942. Is this another known 622 audio issue? I know about the dropouts. I experienced them as silence on my JVC, but as stuttering on the Onkyo.

Any input (before I go by another unnecessary AV upgrade) would be appreciated.
