I've never tried it but I don't think it will work. The LNBs on the Dish itself need power as does the switch (es) in line or contained in the LNB, that's why it injects DC. IIRC there is also a DC signal change for odd/even transponders, etc. I suppose it's possible that your IR remote side would work by tapping the power from the 622 but you may overload the power supply on the 622 or cause any other number of problems. I'm no expert by any means but my limited knowledge says find a different solution .
Can you supply power to the remote side locally? This would mean putting in a DC block between the TV2 / SAT cable and your Xantech unit and then putting in a DC injector with 12 Volts on it to power the unit. I have no experience whatsoever with that device so I can't promise that would work, but theoritically I think it would.
