hi guys -

i am interested in taking BOTH the tv1 and tv2 signals and distributing them through out my house with a channelplus 5525 modulator.

i will be distributing the signals to 7 other non-HD tv sets.

i know that you can use tv2 OR tv1 and distribute that one signal throughout the house, but i need the flexibility (with my wife and myself) to be able to view 2 different stations on any of the different locations.

the channelplus box has composite plugs, but doesnt the 622 have component outlets as well as the hdmi outlet to watch tv1 in HD (as well as distribute that same signal in SD to the rest of the sets.)

have i given you enough info on what i want to do?

can it be done with the 5525, or is there different equipment available?

also, is there a way to get an aftermarket remote to work in other areas of the house in place of the dish tv1 remote

thanks in advance for all your help!

The 622 DOES distribute both TV-1 and TV-2 over 2 NTSC channels of your choice. TV-1's signal, however, is anamorphic, which could be a problem for you unless you have 16:9 TV's that can stretch it back out to normal.

That being said, there is no reason that you couldn't use an outboard modulator for one or both of the 622's outputs. I'm not sure, though, if the composite output on TV-1 might be anamorphic, also, depending on whether you are set up for 16:9 or 4:3 on TV-1. Someone else here probably knows the answer to this.
