I am new (about 6 months) to the dish network system and I have set up 40 or so timers. I have the newest update to the 625 and I have been having problems with my timers not picking up the episodes for the timer but I would just re create the timers if I happen to catch that if the timer is there but the new epi is not being picked up, and delete the old one and reprioritize the new timer.

But when I got up this morning the only things scheduled to record is the CSI's on Spike TV... NOTHING ELSE....

I am very distressed because I don't want to have to recreate all if those timers....

I have reset the box by unplugging it and it still doesn't work--- Called DISH and they are no help

So is there any ideas out there what is going on?

Tell us exactly how you set up a timer to record a weekly event; an event that occurs ever week day; and one time events like a movie, or spors event.

Most of the time I do a search for the title and then choose if I want all of the epi's or the new ones...

Sometimes I will find them in the guide then press record...

Is this not right? It seemed like it worked....

If your problem is that, after setting the timer properly, your DVR isn't waking up (turning on) to record, you are not alone. Many of us started having this problem after Dish updated our software last winter/spring. Dish tried to tell me it was a hardware problem. They sent me a replacement DVR but now, after a week of working OK, it's having the same problems. There is obviously a bug in the software that controls the DVR. Yesterday a tech support person told me a new software update that will fix this problem is supposed to be out within the next two weeks -- I'll believe it when I see it, and meanwhile I've gotten a credit for the monthly DVR programming fee. I don't think any Dish customer should be paying this fee unless and until Dish fixes the problem! It's very annoying to have timers set properly and then find nothing recorded . . .

Check to see that you haven't hit the limit of 288 events. You need select "Show Skipped" from your Daily schedual. If you see a number close to 288 events, then there is a solution posted at satelliteguys.us. Go to the Dish Network Technical Discussions and click on "How to's for Dish Net . . . Receivers". Then click on "Frustrating Secrets of DishPro NBR Timers".
If this is not your problem, then I hope you do find a solution.
