721 timer issues

I'm pretty happy with my one-day-old 721 (killer graphics!). My only complaint so far (other than some weirdness going from the guide to live and a loooooooong wait for channel changes) is that whenever I go to set a timer it defaults to start one minute early, end 3 minutes late, and don't protect. Not only that but the navigation to fix these settings each and every time is pretty clunky...there's no wraparound. At least it's smart enough to not show a conflict with BTB timers and will lop off the 3 minute pad automatically (but being a 2-tuner beast I had to set two sets of simultaneous BTB's to confirm this.

Is there some way to set the defaults the way I would like them?

I found it interesting that a 176-page manual had not one thing in it about how to connect this thing up to a monitor or TV, either, although if you can't figure that part out you probably can't understand how to operate it either.

Pretty cool, however. My Replay and ShowTimer have officially joined my Tivo as boat anchor candidates. Great PQ on par with the 501!
