My 721 was installed yesterday but I didn't have time to play with it much until today. Tried to set timers this morning but no joy. Neither event nor manual timers can be set. I can, however, quick record a live event. Anyone else have trouble setting timers with new installs?

Looks like you are correct... it took 24 hours for my local channel remapping to show up. On a whim, I did a hard reset of the 721 just now and wham, there is joy in Mudville now. I was able to set an event timer and it fired! Thanks, I'm now back in the game.
