I connected my external HDD to the 722. After the formatting i moved some of my recordings from 722 to the HDD.

Should this external HDD always remain ON like the 722 or should it be switched off (powered off and/or usb taken out from 722) when not in use?


Please advise.

I moved all my movie recordings from 722 to the EHDD. When watching it from the HDD, I'm unable to stop the movie in between using the remote. The 'STOP' button on remote doesn't work. I have to rewind or forward till the beginning or end to "stop" .

Am I missing anything?

All functions work just as it was on the receiver itself. (Menu is different when on the HDD, but button functions all work)

Do a hard reset of the receiver. (Unplug it and wait about 30 seconds and plug it back in.)
