I will get Dish installed in a week with a single 722 receiver to use for the main (HD) TV and the second (SD) TV in the house. From what I read, the 2nd TV gets its signal via coax cable. Does this mean, I will be able to hook up the 2nd TV to any coax cable in the house or will the installer ask for a specific outlet where I want to hook up the TV?

This is all new to me....
Thanks!

You can hook it up to any TV with a coax nearby but I would have one picked out for him to set it up on. Setup is not hard and you can switch TV2 later but at least this way you can see how you do it. Mainly it is setting up the remote and assigning a channel to watch Dish on.

The installer will want to you pick a specific TV, because not only does he have to make the proper connections, he also has to set up the TV to be compatible with the modulated channel that the TV2 signal is being sent out on (most TVs need to have their tuners programmed, because at some point, most folks have used the "auto tuner setup" feature to eliminate unused channels on the TV tuner, which means the TV won't tune in UHF CH 60 or Cable CH 73). The installer also needs to program the remote to work with the TV.

43% of all service calls my company does are related to customers having issues with the TV2 "losing signal" (read: customer changed the channel on the TV and can't figure out how to change it back, or customer switched TVs and can't tune in the proper channel), which results in expensive repeat service calls and diminished stats. So, please be prepared for the installer; he'll be grateful.
