Recently I've had a lot of issues with timers. Operations which normally took a second or two now take up to 30 seconds. Example: managing the daily schedule / skipping and restoring timers. I've had numerous notifications of conflicts where none existed.
Today (9/8) the receiver had scheduled four satellite programs and one OTA program to record at 8:00 and apparently thought it was recording all five. OK, I know it can't "think". I had rebooted earlier to see if it would clear up it's own mess but it seemed to be happy.

WOW TulsaOk. That is the first time I have seen anything like that. What was the results after they were done recording? Did it actually recorded 5 programs? How many Dish Passes do you have set up?

I've had more trouble scheduling since L6.10 with it illogically reporting conflicts or setting up what the screen indicates will be simultaneous recordings on "1" or "2". Subsequently it straightens itself out, but none of these issues involve a Dish Pass timer. Something is weird here making me think it was blown up and repaired itself without the right protocols. (That comment will only have meaning for other "Terminator: Sarah Conner" fans).

I haven't reported this yet because I want Dish Tech to fix the more frustratingly intrusive audio dropout problem first.

You're trying to personally manage E*'s support and development staff by reporting defects in your own priority sequence? That doesn't sound very productive. I'm pretty sure there is more than one guy working on the code. Those problems may be handled by entirely different development teams, so failing to report a defect could just be slowing down a resolution for it.

Yes, it's happened twice on my 622, the latest while running L6.13. This morning when I looked at today's schedule I saw three sat programs (no OTA in my area) scheduled to record at 7PM. I worked out the obvious conflict by rescheduling one show. Haven't a clue what would happen if I hadn't intervened ... no doubt I'd end up the loser.

My 622 is also having issues with sluggish timer operations ever since the start of the L6.series downloads a few weeks ago. I had about 35 timers this morning. I parsed out any remaining Dish Passes I had in hopes it'll make a diff.

You're probably right, but I'm griping so much at them about the audio problem I don't want to be put on their crackpot list, if I'm not already there.

It recorded two from sat tuner and the OTA tuner. It was like a countdown to 8:00 to see if the receiver was going to self destruct or not.
It recorded Top Gear, Sarah Conner and Deal or No Deal (OTA). I assume it took the first three in the schedule
I have no Dish Passes set up. I have never had this happen before.

Well, based on that graphic it showed Deal or No Deal on both the OTA and as a regular timer, so perhaps it was just showing it twice (or skipped the Dish one since you were recording it OTA). Then 'The Closer' was also listed at 9pm. Is that timer a New or All timer?

I have Deal or No Deal on sat and OTA in case I need the sat tuner for something else. Typically, it skips the OTA tuner. The Closer is an All timer.

On a side note, isn't Top Gear the funniest show on TV. I know it's not meant to be but it is.

We've had alot of issues with timers also.

We've only had the new 722 for about 2 weeks. Quite a few times it said something was going to tape (we double checked it), but when the time came the timer message would suddenly change to "skipped" - "duplicate".

Sometimes it would say it was going to tape on both TV1 & TV2. Or TV2 twice. And then it still wouldn't tape at all.

It also doesn't schedule it for another time because it was "scheduled to tape" at the original time (which didn't tape).

And then... I just added the OTA antenna 3 days ago. We looked at the schedule tonight and it said it was going to tape 3 shows - A on TV1, B on TV2, and C on TV2. Huh? I thought that might be the DVR's way of saying it was going to tape one of the shows from OTA - but nope. When the time came, it started taping A on TV1. It taped one minute at a time of B on TV2 (I manually stopped it after the 6th - one minute recording of the show showed in the list). And it didn't tape C at all.

We actually had that periodic 1 or 2 minute of a time recording problem often with our old Dish DVRs. I was hoping that was something with the old models, but I guess that must be a Dish thing.

I just wish I could figure out what is going wrong so I can rely on the DVR to record what it has listed at least once. I wonder if it's a conflict with all the duplicates available. Our channel listing seems to have 3-5 different channels showing the same show at times. Is there a way to just delete the "duplicate" channels from the channel list altogether?
