A Question of Power
Since I've had a number of problems occur when turning 'on' my D15-100, I was wondering if there was any way for the D15 to ignore the TV-Off button on the remote.
In other words, I want my R15 to stay on. :bang

We use Harmony universal remotes and each device can be programmed to "always leave on." We do that with all our DVRs.

For now, I just dug up my old TV remote, and am using that for power control.
I think APK's solution is probably better if you don't want to deal with multiple remotes.
You find it easier to pick up a second remote use it to turn the TV on and off and then switch back to the R15 remote then to slide a switch on the top of the remote back and forth?

I was thinking the same thing. I use mine to turn on my A/V receiver. The detents seem kind of wimpy. I'm finding it harder and harder to stop at the correct position.Miss Tivo said:I was considering the service life of the slide switch.
I wouldn't worry too much about the slide switch. DirecTV will usually replace those remotes for free.
