Sometimes if the unit is left alone, the pictures turns to snow. If I change the channels, or power down (standby) and bring it back, it fixes the problem..

I actually changed my Universal remote control to standby on off and power up on on because when I would turn the TV on (4 years old Sony 50" XBR Plasma) it would display snow more times than not.

HDMI video connection or Component?

If HDMI, make sure you post your problem to that thread so D* will be made aware of the incompatibility between your TV and the HR20, as they are working on various compatibility issues for various displays.
