Getting new h2k and changing something, like output resolution, would prevent/affect its desire to load current [production] version.

If you waiting for more then 5 min, do reset the DVR settings to default in menu and turn it off by remote.

Thanks P. This little tip helped me get my H2k up and running. First attempt at activating went no where. Dish was of no help. They were too stunned that I had purchased my own equipment. After resetting to factory defaults, everything went smoothly. Thanks.
