AAA Discount ? Help???

I had DirecTV installed and activated yesterday. Along with my order I signed up with the AAA discount (10.00 credit per month for 24months), however I received my first bill and it did not show the 10.00 credit, I have been given the explanation from DirecTv Customer service that it can take up to 2 billing cycles for the credit to apply. Just wanting to know if anyone else has gotten the AAA discount, did it take that long to apply or did it show up right away for you.

My issue is that they said that once it is applied it would be only 10.00 per month and would not make up for the missing months it took to show up, so essentially I am not getting the full discount, (10 x 24 months) because they are skipping months until it shows up. Sorry if that does not make sense.

As some one who is brand new to direcTV i am getting very frustrated and unhappy with the mis-information that I received from the rep. I ordered with and the difference stance that Customer Service is now taking.

Thank you!

the delay does seem normal, but Then I do not have it so I am not sure.

My experience with DirecTV after 12+ years, you will get what you were promised. You will get 24 months of credits, just might not start until 2 months into your subscription. So from your perspective it will be 2 years and 2 months to get your promotion completed.
One time I was provided a 6 month credit related to an HR10-250 TiVo software snafu. It took eight months to get my 6 credits in, they missed a month twice. I did not have to call them about it either, the credit appeared on the following bill. Just keep track of what you are to get and what you have received. If they were to miss two billing cycles then I would call, and be nice if you have to call. The information will be in your notes, you are calling just to see why the credit is not on your account.
Your first bill is usually full price with no discounts. The AAA discount should kick in automatically and will give you the full 24 months. It will just end a month or 2 later than you expected. If you had an x off for 12 months from directv offer also you will need to do an online rebate submission to get that to start once again on the second or third bill.
