It would depend on how much The Disney Company would want to charge Dish Network to carry it, and what package it would be placed in .
If they are the company Dish has to negotiate with to get it, then I doubt it will be available. I'm sure they want a pretty penny for it, and if it is gonna be expensive...I'd rather have BBC World News, EuroNews (in AT250) or CNN International.
No, they will never carry it :sure:

As you can see, you will get any number of different answers to a question like this and you should believe all of them. Because there is little likelyhood that anyone here would have any idea what future unannounced programming will become available, any one of the answers could be correct.
Does any one even carry that channel?
Verizon carries it and some Charter systems have it.
Is this the FTA channel that is saw listed?
Yes it is a FTA channel. ABC News Now began it's life as a digital OTA subchannel a few years ago, then was spun off into an actual cable channel.
Well, that answers it, my guess is that E* will never have it. Heck, it is free and they still don't have it so I would look for it anytime soon.

I didn't know ABC had a 24/7 news channel. Interesting!
ABC News Now I think E* should add it to the lineup.
All the world needs is another 24/7 news channel showing nothing worth while for 23.5 hours per day and making up the other half hour.
ABC News Now isn't anything special. It's mostly just low-budget filler programming repeating over and over with occasional news headlines. It's sad because ABC could easily do much more. They could expand the overnight "World News Now" program using the content that ABC distributes to its affiliates, such as generic liveshots, network packages, and affiliate contributions. All of this is already available to them but apparently they don't want to spend the money to hire anchors, producers, and production crew to cover a 24/7 news channel. It's too bad because you don't have to watch the other "news" channels for long to realize that America doesn't have an all-news channel.

But I digress.

ABC News Now was originally conceived as a digital subchannel idea for its affiliates. They were supposed to seek carriage in their markets. But then ABC changed their minds and decided to pull it from OTA signals, making it available as a subscription service and putting it on cell phone video lineups, etc. That, combined with the poor content, makes it unlikely we'll be seeing it on either satellite provider unless something changes.

Ditto!!!!:)
they use to carry it as a local abc subchannel in atlanta. They dropped it and now carry RSN network which shows old tv shows such as Streets of San Fransico. I dont think Comcast carries it. They didnt when I dropped them for Dish last Nov

I'm taking it you mean RTN :)
I guess 7.2 here in New York use to be ABC News now. I wondered what happened to it. 7.2 here is a big waste. 90% of the time they have infomercials on or at least every time I put it on when the local news is not on all I see is infomercials.
