I notice that tonights (9/1/08) ABC World News is in HD.

Is this new?

They are doing the conventions in HD. While they are away, they are preparing the NY studio to HD by the time they return.

WNT was already broadcast the NY studio in HD - last Friday, the day after the DNC closed.

And yes, this is old news: ABC's World News...now in HD

I knew it had been discussed, just thought I would let Rick know. Here in Minneapolis, Friday's WNT was in SD (they often forget to flip the switch). I was not aware friday was HD. A pleasant surprise, as it's my favorite!
