Doesn't look like Channel 30 will be HD on DirecTV any time soon. OTA is your only solution.
Same situation in Indianapolis.....T-Mac said:This is the only Nashville local channel not in HD. What's the story and is there hope that D* will ever get it? (SEC network shows football/basketball on this channel)
Thanks!
In what part of town are you? Because of the terrain, reception varies greatly in the area and if indoor is your only option, you may have to use something other than rabbit ears.T-Mac said:I'll have to research indoor antennas. Not really worth it for me to look at roof-mounts.
I'm in that area also with a six-bay bowtie antenna up about 30 feet and channel 30 reception is much less than consistent. Being in a valley behind nine mile hill doesn't help at all.snowcat said:MyTv30 luckily picks up nicely with just about any antenna. I was torn on whether to spend an extra $50 to get the AM21 just for that channel or not, and I decided to not to do it. I just watch it live through an indoor antenna connected to my TV. (I live in the Bellevue area)
Comcast and Uverse have it in HD, but Dish and DirecTv do not.
Take those reviews with a grain of salt and hopefully it shows where the people live. Hills, etc around Nashville play an important roll if you will pick up the channels or not. Also, I know first hand about what Jon J means about 9 mile hill since I used to live in Bellevue some years ago.T-Mac said:Anybody try a Mohu leaf indoor antenna? It gets rave reviews on Amazon.
