Finally got directv installed today After 3 site survey and the purchase of a SWMLine and $50 of 8ft fence pole I am finally done and good to go. Now I just have to get my locals diplexed in. I have my antenna that will go in the attic (db2) the channel master 4002 to combine and the channel master 4001 to seperate.

Im going to put the combiner after the PI and before the splitter (SWS-4) My question is do I have to unplug the PI? or should I just turn off all the receivers?

I'd unplug both. Then reconnect PI. Then reconnect one box at a time.

This is the safest.
If you're only working after the PI, then just the receivers should be enough though.
