After noticing how low my 103c signals were ( 55- 67 ) , I called to see what to do and as told " Those are acceptable levels in your area " twice , so now what ?
I will I just hate how long it takes to actualy talk to someonetcusta00 said:Since I'm only 15 miles from "your area" I'd say you got bad information. Twice. I'm in the high 80s across the board. You need an adjustment. :nono2: Call and insist.
Thanks , once again almighty DBSTalk !!Doug Brott said:Don't have a chart handy, but 103(c) should show everything (that is available) as 80s .. some should likely be in the 90s, but definitely you should be in the 80s.
Generally speaking, I like to shoot for 85s & higher across the board on the 103c, 80s if it's raining.puffnstuff said:Thank you guy's . I just got off the phone and guess what , this time they understoodNow just to be sure should all transponders be higher than 80 or am I just looking for a few key ones ? Also , I sure am glad I have the PP , after all these years I finally get some return !
Thanks Robert .. always good to hear from a pro.RobertE said:Generally speaking, I like to shoot for 85s & higher across the board on the 103c, 80s if it's raining.
Most of the time, I can get mid to high 90s across the board in clear weather.
Just a fun fact. 2 degrees of misalignment is 778 miles off target when you hit (or mis) the sat in orbit.
Boy, that is funRobertE said:...Just a fun fact. 2 degrees of misalignment is 778 miles off target when you hit (or mis) the sat in orbit.
I am located in Fort Lauderdale as well... 103c is always 95+ I have never seen it below 95 on any TP... occasionally I will check and one or two will be at 100.davring said:Maybe because I am further south my lowest transponder on 103c is 94 with one at 100.
