I too had this same problem, however I have a 622. I could also hit MENU and all was restored. Called Dish and got a replacement.

I know this problem was posted fairly recent but I can't find it. I hoped it was a s/w glitch that would eventually go away but it's been going on for a few weeks off and on.
My 722 will act as if it has lost signal but I can hit the guide button and bring the picture back. I can even step the dvr back and pick up where it dropped out. I checked my 211 receiver and it's not dropping at all.
Anyone else experiencing this problem?
BTW, performing resets and check switch hasn't helped.

I recall the thread also. If it is the yellow "lost signal" pop-up, and not the blue 015 Acquiring Signal (the one you see after a restart), a member posted he/she spoke with a tech at DISH, it is a software issue, affecting some receivers, DISH is aware of it, and a fix is due soon.Motorin said:I know this problem was posted fairly recent but I can't find it. I'm getting this problem also on my 622. Been going on for a couple of weeks now.
I was getting this bug recently after plugging in my EHD. I unplugged it and all appears to be well. At first I thought it was just me as I was using a temporary dish setup but once I unplugged the EHD and the problem went away (hasn't come back since), I figured some software glitch.

Having a similar problem but mine only does it during a rain storm or thunderstorm have not tried hitting guide but DVR brings the picture back but then if I hit view it will bring full size picture back if it hit cancel it takes me to menu. This bothers with both live and a DVR recording used to be able to watch my DVR events during bad weather. This only bothers the 722 not my standard def 501 or 510. Have not called D* yet but will soon when I have time.
