Lest anyone think I'm nuts, I'm only getting it to record OTA HD to tide me over until the shiny new DirecTiVo launches. It was either that, or buy a couple USB tuners (or a HDhomerun) for my Vista-running laptop and a media center extender. This way, I can simply record antenna HD and keep my existing SD programming from the satellite until the new kit launches.My apartment faces north (so no dish of my own), and the wife and kid don't want to switch to the HR2x boxes that work with the SWM system (well, neither do I, really, but I would put up with it for my TV if they could keep their DirecTiVos), so this is an acceptable solution if it works.
