Adding a channel or package for a short period

Currently, I'm on AT200 w/silver HD. In about a week and a half, there's a game I'd like to see that's going to be on Versus, which is in AT250. Is it possible to add the one channel or AT250 for a short period of time (such as over the weekend)? If so, what kind of expenses would I be looking at? Would it be a prorated amount of the difference in packages? Would I have to pay the downgrade fee when I went back to AT200?

Any input you have would be appreciated.

Yes and yes. Figure about $1 for every 3 days plus the $5 downgrade.
I've done this occassionaly for as less as a few hours. About an hour before the game bring up the guide that shows all channels, select the channel the game is on and order it via the DVR/satellite. It will show up in less than 5 minutes. After the game give them a call or use online tech chat to cancel. It will cost you less than a dollar for the programming but also $5 for the downgrade fee. This assumes you have your DVR connected to a landline. If not use phone or chat for the first part also.
Cool! That's what I figured and was hoping! Thanks to both of you!
I did something like this for Showtime when Big Brother After Dark was on. They never charged the $5 downgrade. That could be because it was a premium channel and not a whole programming tier.
