·I wonder how many non-tivo or non-ultimate tv subs out there have the new APG (Advanced Program Guide). APG allows the viewer to scroll 7 days into the future guide while you will be able to continue viewing what you are watching in a window on the guide . My Hughes GAEBO has the APG, but i know for a fact that many of these executive gold boxes do NOT have the APG, but a older guide system called a MPG. Hughes claims all thier current boxes will be upgrade to the APG as soon as possible with a software patch, but i find this hard to believe. Since RCA thomson claims models such as DRD480 re will never get the APG even though they are upgradeable via satelite and you need to get a newer box such as drd435-485 RG. These thomson boxes are terrible, they are slow as hell. Directv in general seems to have a problem with their guide systems and really needs a overhaul to bring its customers the most up to date technology.
