Fairly new to the HR21 after using the HR10 for years.

Have started receiving 771 errors and I'd like to take time to carefully and systematically diagnose the reasons.
I'm starting to understand that some satellites are more important for Mpeg4/HD than others and I've seen a few posts talking about spot beams.
(Is it true since the HR10 didn't use the spot beams then it would seem more forgiving of signal strengths?)
This morning I checked signal strengths on 99 and 103. Most are in the 80's, some are in the 70's, one was 59.
(Do all these numbers relate to specific channels?)

So would these signal strengths indicate that I have a small misalignment?
If so can I tackle the job myself? I'm fairly technical and handy with tools but I've never aligned a dish before so I don't know how difficult it is. (I can access the dish quite easily.) Is there an idiots guide available and should I buy some sort of meter?
Thanks for any input.
