I just purchased an R16-300 DVR to replace an R15-100 and I can't beleive the difference in picture quality. The picture is brighter and sharper than with the R15. I have Hitachi 60" ultravision projection Tv and the picture was always a little washed out in the bright daylight but now it's close to the picture I get on my 46" Sony Bravia LCD. Has anybody else experienced this?

I made the switch a while back, but on an SD TV. I didn't notice any real difference in quality, but comparing a 32" SD to a 60" HD or even a 60" SD is not exactly fair.

Do you have it connected the same way?
Just comparing an R15 to The R16 before and after. No other changes. The same10 year old 60" standard junky projection TV. Same connections, same cables, same dish, same everything. I just changed because it only cost me $25 at a UPS auction. The picture is noticably brighter and sharper. One thing though the signal strength for transponders on 101 are higher on average than with the R15. The R15 was generally 10 points lower on average.
