Cool thanks for the info. Can't wait - this is a great show.

WEll, it does give away most of the team info and starting location along with one or 2 non-team specific pieces of info about some events toward the end of the race. I would say mild spoilers, but nothing that would truly spoil the actual outcome.

A nice piece of info is that they are already scouting locations for season 14!
Well they did say it won't be in HD. :( Man they are missing an opportunity of really providing some spectacular footage.

While I would love to see it in HD, this show would be one of the most difficult to film with HD cameras.
I'd love HD cameras as well, but for most of the shots I'm OK with it not in HD. Survivor has a lot of cool Nature shots in between takes and those in HD will be way cool .. the bug bites .. not so cool.

However, I can understand the reluctance on TAR's part .. changing equipment could change the dynamics of how the show is produced .. I'd be worried about making that change .. especially after taking a Mulligan with the Family Edition ..
The Family Edition was just plain ugly, but I still wish they would make it happen in HD. Figure the cameras have gotten small enough for something like this but perhaps not.
Wonder if HD equipment can be shared amongst shows? Is Survivor going on at the same time as TAR (I have never seen an episode of Survivor)? If they dont run at the same time, loan it to whichever show is in production.

Why is it more difficult to film with HD cameras. Its the same, just point and shoot. They aren't carrying around those big studio quality ones, they just use small handheld cameras right now anyway, so this wouldn't be much different. It would require more media to capture all that HD content on, but I think it would be awesome in HD.
