The data in the Guide seems to be incorrect for An Idiot Abroad: The Bucket List on Science Channel HD.

All of the episodes (which only started airing earlier this month) display "First Aired" dates in the Fall 2011 time frame. For example, the episode that will show on Saturday, 2/25, (when it normally airs) has a "First Aired" date of 10/14/2011. I have a Series Link for this show. None of the episodes have recorded this season. I believe this is because the "First Aired" date is wrong.

When I search the shows with the Directv iPhone App, I get the same data as I do on my HR20-700.

Well, to be honest, that's pretty lame. That means nothing that aired on Sky will ever record if you set your Series Link to record only First Runs? I don't recall that being a problem on the first season of An Idiot Abroad.

This doesn't fix the feature in question, but you could set a manual record for Sci channel every Saturday at air time to only receive the new airings. I have done it a few times and it works well. It should even show the program title in the playlist and group them.

Well, the easier solution was to set the Series Link to record First Runs and Repeats. Heaven forbid SciHD changes the time for some reason.

That definately works! One program that I tried this with would record last season or past week reruns during the rest of the week so I setup the manual to just capture the new episodes.

It's just the way it is. It's the same on BBC America, HGTV for Holmes on Homes/Holmes Inspection etc.

The worse one is Science Fiction Masters on Science. It's gone by two different titles, some aired in the US before, others haven't. The last episode that recorded had a completely different story in the description.

The system is far from perfect, but is what it is.
