While looking at my account online, I noticed I am being offered a free upgrade of equipment. I currently have an HR20 and an HR21. Since it says "upgrade to an HD DVR for free(reg. $199)" and I already have 2 HD DVR's, is it not an upgrade? Is it an upgrade if I am just wanting to swap out? If I accept their offer to upgrade what are the chances of my getting an HR24?(Swapping for the HR21) If I buy an HR24 from SolidSignal, will DTV give me a $199 credit on my bill for the equipment? Will this upgrade start a new 2 year contract?

There is no promise of giving you an HR24 to replace the HR21. The only way you will find out about the credit would be to call them and ask. Yes there will be a new 2 year commitment.
