In my zip the setup states to tilt the dish back @ 45 degrees.

Where above the horizon are the sats this case?

I have a mountain to the South and I was interested in where the sats are in relation to the top of the mountain.

Thanks

With a "reported" elevation of 45 degrees on the dish- if this one done using settings for a Triple Sat or AU9 dish, then you're looking at an actual elevation of about 42 degrees to 101, somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 for 110 and about 38 degrees for 119.

If you were on the left coast I could tell you exactly within a degree where everything should as far as physical elevation is concerned but dishes are tilted differently back east and so that changes my math quite a bit.

here’s the easiest way to know if you have line of sight. stand at your desired mounting location and perform a nazi style salute. don't offend your neighbors. that is at about a 45 degree angle. if you can see a clear sky above your fingers you’ll have line of sight. please keep in mind that this refers to the elevation, not the tilt. the tilt refers to the skew of the dish to make it possible for a multi sat dish to see multi sats as they are arranged in the sky.
