I know it was announced last year that local PBS HD stations were going to be added to D* in some markets, but I've seen or heard nothing since, besides a few other discussions here. D11 is now live but no news on this. My local PBS station tells me nothing and only says to contact D*. D* tells me to contact the local station.

Complete conjecture: but I'd guess that PBS will come with D11 in due time, but only after higher priorities are addressed (national channels, RSN's, new lil's, etc.). No sooner than after a sucessful NFLST/SF all MPEG4 launch would be my guess.

I'm looking forward to PBS in HD of the sat as well and would like to hear if there is any "real" new news to be had.

No sooner than Mid - October if the rumors are to be believed. Most likely they will start showing up in November.

D* signed an agreement to agree. However, each and every local PBS gets to have their community board advise and consent on the process. Worse than dealing with LIN.
