Any way to get equipment w/o installation ?

Hello,

Local channels in my area require a second dish (small DMA), so when Distant Network channels vanished today, I called to get the local channels.

From talking to the first level CS rep, the procedure seems to be to have an installer come out and install whatever is required and Dish pays for it.

However, I prefer to do the installation myself, and it would actually save E* money (especially if the installer bills for the 3 hour round trip).

Has anyone had any success getting E* to waive the professional installation and just send the free dish directly to you ?

Let 'em send an installer to you.. with all the needed and paid for hardware, etc...

When installer arrives.. - just tell him that you prefer to do the installation yourself.. :)

Take all the needed and paid for hardware, etc from him.. and send him on his way..
I am sure he wouldn't mind that much.. - He saves time and gets paid also probably after all :D

Or something like that.. (in any case, i am sure, you understood what i ment) ;)

Do those guys ever have Dish Heaters ?
