I have never been a fan of the switch to silver av equipment, especially since my gear sits in a black 19" telecom rack, anyone paint their HR20? Or any aftermarket companys making black bezels?

Not that I'm aware. Be careful what you do with it as your HR20 is most likely leased. There has been talk about a black HR20 to come out as many places list the HR20 as the HR20-700S. Many believe the "S" is for silver and that there will be a HR20-700B eventually.

I am unaware of any plans to have a BLACK HR20.

There was a black 19" rack-mount prototype HD-DVR shown at the CEDIA convention in Denver last month that had an LCD screen on the front panel and a larger hard-drive, but there is absolutely no ETA on the unit or even if it will ever be produced (kinda like the concept cars you see at the cars shows).

No... that I know all the current dishes are the flat grey.
You can paint your dish though... provided you don't use lead based paint
