Anybody miss "LOST" last night ??

Well, for the first time since 3 software releases ago, a program was deleted from the LIST before we could watch it. Nothing we did. HD space is showing 72% and it was drizzling at the time this happened. It was recording, I checked it, but it shows deleted.
My SD TiVo recorded it with no probs. Yes I know it came off a different sat. 101 SD, 99 HD. We noticed no dropouts etc. during the rain.
Seems like all the problems we've had the last week or so have been only related to the Mpeg-4 channels. Everything else has recorded, played, paused etc. as they should.:hurah:

lost recorded on my box. went to watch it and after a minute it asked to delete the recording. for some reason it only taped the first minute of the recording and stopped. we had no rain in the area. it has been taping lost since the season premiere. the nine taped perfect after lost.
this was my first missed recording since i got the hr20 over a month ago. good thing i still make my same recordings every week on my old tivo box.
Yes. I posted about it in the Issues sticky thread and so have a lot of other people.

I went to watch it about 15 minutes late, but realized it was recording, but the beginning was in buffer, so I hit record. I then went to my list and it wast here, but when I hit play, all I got was a black screen. I couldn't do trick play. I then went to live and tried to RW to the beginning, but couldn't do that either. I watched it on my R10 while I reset the HR20 and when it came back on, it started to record it and it seemed like that partial recording worked fine.

This was my first major issue with the box in about 2 weeks of ownership.
Now you're making me nervous. It better be on my HR20 when I get home from a business trip tonight. It was set to record the MPEG4 channel with series link and it's been working fine.

I am in the same position, we can always watch the webcast...doesn't look as good but if I have to I'll do it.
HUMMM...."Lost" seems to have been really LOST !!!!:eek2:

Wonder what's going on here? Could it possibly be something the network is doing to affect the HR20? Seems weird. But stranger things have happened in TV land!
Seems like everybody's TiVo recorded ok.......
Recorded fine for me last night - watched it after the World Series was called.
Worked fine here in Houston as well. Watched it about 30 minutes after it finished recording. Noticed less pixelation that previous weeks and only had 2 audio drops of about 2 seconds each during the show. I don't have a home theatre systems, so audio drops can't be related to that.

Or use Bit Torrent... :D They always have the previous nights shows up from the HD feeds by mid-day the next day. About 350MB for 45 minutes worth of shows (no commercials) and the look SURPRISINGLY good when burned to DVD even on a 50" TV. Just my 2 cents.
LOST recorded here for me in the Indianapolis Indiana market.

The monday before last Heros messed up though. It would freeze at 48mins in and I'd have to do a red button reset to free up the machine.

Other than that little Heros thing everything has been fine. I blame my local affiliate for that too. They seem to have a lot of problems with their video and sound. Even OTA.

That would of course be illegal. ABC makes a very good effort to provide multiple ways of offering the consumer legal ways of viewing previous episodes. You have iTunes (pay to own) or go to abc.com and view the full 16x9 shows (ad supported) for free the very next day.

So why go through the effort and potential issues of downloading an illegal copy and burning to DVD?
Problems with LOST for me as well... on an HR10-250 - 6.3a. SD feed from the local ABC station.

It had a duration of 0:00 and asked me to delete as soon as I hit play.

An HD show recorded fine at the same time off the other tuner. Weird.

Are you 100% it's illegal? I don't think anyone has gotten in trouble for downloading tv shows that can be watched for free OTA. Now, if you are downloading shows from HBO, I can see how that would be illegal, but from locals that available OTA, I don't think it is.

Plus, who wants to watch a tv show on their computer from ABC? With bittorrent you can burn them to a DVD and watch them on your tv.

I'm not so convinced that's illegal either. How's that any different than borrowing a video tape of it from someone at work, for example? HBO, Showtime, PPV, sure, but I've never heard anyone getting in trouble for a network show broadcast over the air.
The only people who get mad about TV shows on Bittorrent are the advertisers.

The only thing that I've seen happen as a result of sharing TV shows is a few trackers get shut down. I don't even think the people running the trackers got in trouble. The networks just figured out a way to convince their hosting providers to take the sites down.

I have never heard of anyone who downloads TV shows getting into trouble though.

Whew... I just checked... it recorded fine here. We're usually a few days behind watching recorded shows. We're watching it tonight.

Mine didn't tape Vegas
Las Vegas? I missed it too. Found it listed in the VOD history as "Partial", I hate that the HR20 doesn't let you watch partial recordings like the HR10 did.

And for me it definitely wasn't a signal issue, I had back to back shows record just fine in the same time slot on other channels.
Mine will record Lost but it plays back choppy with pauses. Almost unwatchable. Odd that this happens only on my local Hd ABC affiliate. Until this is resolved I've switched back to my HR10-250.
