I'm watching but just going along for the ride, not trying to figure out anything like I would in a murder mystery. Wasn't it said that when all of the characters regain their self-knowledge that they'll be returned?

My wife and I are enjoying the show. We started watching with our kids but have had to give them synopsis instead due to some of the other behaviors on the show that we were tired of explaining away. There is so much between Gold, the Mayor and now that new writer, our big question is what did he change in the book before it was returned.

Theories?
I "THINK" it's almost always an hour of great entertainment. I am afraid of postulating a theory at this point. The writers are making this vague and convoluted on purpose. Clearly the Evil Queen should have figured out who Emma is by now since the clock is moving, and some residents are having happy-ish story points, which she hates. Who is worse, the Regina, or Gold? It's hard to tell.

With Mary Margaret looking like she does in Storybrook, Regina has no problem at all being the fairest in the land.

These sorts of series can be tricky because they have to keep the mystery going, so there's not always a satisfactory conclusion. All the good-vs-evil fights end up in a tie, which can be frustrating.

I was starting to lose interest, but really enjoyed the Rumplestitskin/Bell episode. (Yeah, yeah, I'm still 2-3 episodes behind, but that's what DVRs are for...)
