Is anyone successfully playing video on the HD-DVR that's being served up by TVersity and transcoded? I can't seem to get it to work. All of the DVR's see the files, but when I try to play, the screen goes black, farts around for about 20-30 sec, then comes back and says it can't play it.

I believe TVersity is configured ok though, as my XBox 360 is able to play the files it serves up (also transcoding) just fine.

Any pointers or lessons learned?

Thanks,
Doc

Doc, there's a wealth of information in this thread http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=75287. It's lengthy, but lots of good nuggets of info.

bhelton71 is quite knowledgeable here, and his posts have been the most helpful to me. If it's networking related, Spanky_Partain's got a number of threads on networking.

If you can post some more details on how you have TVersity configured, I'm sure someone here can help out.

My TVersity media server had been working fine on both my HR-21 and HR-20 right up until the last firmware update. Then it started behaving exactly as you describe.

I've done nothing to try to resolve it as I expect the next firmware update will get it going again.
