Finally got around to checking out the new Pandora app on my DVR. I've been a long time Pandora subscriber and had no issues linking my DVR to my Pandora account. The problem I'm having is that after each song, I get a period of silence that lasts anywhere from 5 seconds to 60 seconds. When the sound starts again, the next song is already in progress, so it's not like something is buffering before starting the next song. It appears that the DVR stops sending the audio signal, but I still have floating screensaver icon that displays the song being played.

My DVR connects to a Denon receiver via HDMI. So at this point I'm trying to figure out if this a problem with the Pandora app or my receiver.

Just for grins, try tuning to a non-dolby tv channel before accessing the Pandora app and see if that helps.
Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try.

SeaBeagle- The Pandora app on my iPhone works correctly too and I don't have the long pauses between songs. Normally I used the Pandora app on my iPhone and AirPlay to stream it to my Denon receiver. Was stoked when I saw Pandora added to my DVR. Nice addition by Directv.
