Oh God.

It's becoming apparent to me that ATT is becoming a monopoly again. I have BellSouth for landline, DSL, and I have Cingular Wireless, and are worried about the fact that all those services could be under ATT, because of the prices.

If DIRECTV were purchased by them, that would push me over the edge.

But SBC who merged with AT&T ownes Echostar.... I think... They give you a discount if you have bothe phone and E* service and you can get them on 1 bill.... Sound fishy to me.

Here in Michigan, AT&T just successfully lobbied the state legislature to eliminate local city/township cable franchising. It'll now be on the state level. They plan on adding cable TV to their stable, at least here in Michigan. Word is, AT&T cable will be competing with Comcast, Time Warner, Brighthouse and WOW here in Michigan in '07.
