So I did a search and could not find a recent post about this issue. The audio is not syncing with the lips of actors/announcers on multiple channels. I first thought it was an issue with my Vizio M47ONV as they have lip synch setting. I tried the different settings but still couldn't get the lips to match the audio. I then reset my DTV receiver HR24/500. Still no fix. I also have now noticed it on my other Vizio TV and DTV HD DVR.

I have noticed it does not happen all the time. Sometimes it's live programing and other times it is record items. I mostly watch ESPN, CNN and my local channels.

So I am guessing this is a DTV issue. I feel calling would be no good, guessing I'd get the run around with tech support. Has anyone found a solution to the problem? Anyone else even experiencing this issue? Thanks.

In recent weeks, I've seen the same issue on CNN. I've tried connecting the DVR directly to the TV via HDMI and also with the AV receiver, and the problem is there either way. It isn't there 100% of the time. Since it generally comes and goes as a CNN program changes, I've assumed that the issue is on their end.

The CNN issue is at their end. There have been sync problems with CNN for ever, particularly when there is a "split feed" with the two halves of the picture coming from different sources.
What gives me further indication that the issue (with CNN, at least) is on their end and not with my equipment is that I can, for example, be watching Wolf Blitzer, and his lips will not be in sync with the audio. When, however, they go to a commercial, the audio is synced fine to the video during the commercial. Then, when they go back to Wolf Blitzer, the sync is off again.
