Yes...what you seem to be missing is D* gets their stream for their MPEG-4/HD-Locals by receiving the OTA broadcast locally (just like you would if you have OTA-HD) and then transcoding it from MPEG-2 to MPEG-4 for the satellite.tadam said:So when Directv is telling me that it is a broadcast issue from channell 3, is true? If the OTA signal has a defect, that defect WILL be on D*'s MPEG-4 feed to you via satellite. They can't change it. Now...they can work with your local station (put pressure on them or perhaps consult) to get THEM to fix THEIR problem, but that's all they can do.
