A cold restart will often do the trick. But if this wasn't DVR related and rather an issue with the TBS feed, there isn't much you could do. A cold restart means you unplug the DVR from AC power for about 30 seconds then plug 'er back in.

I've observed temporary issues with a number channels over the past week. HBO-HD was suffering some significant audio drop outs over a week ago. A few days ago Weather Channel HD had a serious lip sync problem. Early Saturday evening HD Net Movies had some serious audio drop outs.

Whatever is happening with TNT will probably be handled pretty quickly. It's still kind of a pain when the issue is affecting the program you've been waiting to watch. With the issues occurring on one channel, getting solved quickly and then popping up on another channel it sort of seems like a "whack-a-mole" game. I don't envy the engineers dealing with the problems or the CSAs dealing with angry calls over it.

i was noticing this problem a lot until i connected my audio through the optical port instead of using the hdmi and I haven't seen the problem since. i can switch audio between the optical and hdmi, and the hdmi won't be in sync with the video while the optical is just fine. maybe this could work for you?
