I think I found the problem w/ my audio/video sync issue. its in the HDMI output. I got a new surround receiver last friday that replaced one that died before I got my dish. I've been running sound through the optical output of the vip222 for a week and there have been no sync issues. I've got the internal speaker on my TV turned off, and use the HDMI just for video. When I turn the speaker in the tv back on, the sync issue is still there. so an HDMI problem is the best I can come up with. i've had my DVD player connected directly to the TV w/ HDMI and never had a problem, so I'm pretty sure its in the vip222.
edit to add: i never had the sync issue w/ TV 2 connected to the modulated output.
