Which satellite(s) does authorization signalling come down from?

My reason for asking is that I had a hard time trying to do a web reauthorization on an H21 box last Sunday, and I've got limited LOS to 119.

I would think, don't really know, that it would be 101W. Common to all receivers in the D* universe.

For HD it is currently 119

for SD it is 101

Well, what about if you have a new 3 LNB slimline? Only sees 99/101/103.

Thanks. That probably explains things. I think I was on ESPN2HD when I tried on Sunday and on Bloomberg when it worked on Monday.

All authorization comes off of the 101 sat on transponder 2. HD or SD, activating is all the same.

It seems like some days it takes quite a bit longer than others as well, probably depends on the queue.

Very true. If you can do it through the automated system, it saves a lot of time.
