I dunno how, but right now my 622 automatically partial zooms on 4:3 content and leaves HD content normal. I actually like that quite a bit but I don't know how I got to that state. Can someone enlighten me?

Press the Format (*) button on your remote to change the format. The 622 saves the previous setting and maintains it until changed. There are two settings saved. One for SD and one for HD so they can have different settings.

Ah ok that makes sense. I didn't know that it maintained separate settings for SD and HD. thanks.
