Automatic payments changing?

For the last 5 years, our billing cycle has ended on the 8th of each month and on that same day (or close to) our checking account has been debited for the amount due. For the past two months, I've had trouble with D* debiting my account. For August, they had said my auto debit date had changed from the 8th to the 22nd when I called them. It ahs yet to come out today. The lady couldn't explain why and said she would escalate my question and that I would have to call back 5 days later! Anyone else experience this recently??

I had the exact same thing happen to me in June, but for some unexplained reason it went back to the 22nd in July. Don't know why
They have changed the timing so the auto-CC payments are not taken immediately on the billing date, more like two weeks out from that. I can't speak to whether they have the timing down right yet. They say the 22nd, it could post in the overnight process (which also may be different than it has been).
From what I've seen, it's 15 days after the bill has been issued. It was changed because it's a little easier if someone has a billing dispute, instead of it automatically withdrawing a payment before a customer is able to see the bill. If they see the bill first and call in about it, and take care of it before the payment posts to the account, it's a lot easier to do that then go through a whole escalation process the refund to the card.
I hate there auto bill pay, i almost left because of it, I signed up for the green credit, in mid june, on my bill date they deducted the amount i told them to cancel they said they couldn't, a week before my july bill printed i called and they said it was canceled and no debit would happen on the bill date, it didn't happen then, it happened 15 days later, i called to cancel, they said they show the auto pay canceled and couldn't guarantee it wouldn't happen again, but they show it was canceled so it should not, well come to find out it wasn't canceled and someone finally canceled it after i set up disconnection, so needless to say im never signing up for it again
If you have autopay with a credit card, it's still deducted on the day the bill goes out. If you have a debit card, it's delayed 15 days. (IIRC it's 15).
mine changed from the 25th to the 20th.
Nice of them to let their customers know of the changes....would it have been difficult to to send us an email, much less their CSRs have knowledge of this change???
