Autopay also going paperless

:eek2: Apparently they have now decided to switch autopay customers, at least those who have a registered internet access account, to paperless. Got a voicemail telling me that my account was going paperless.

That's one more company that is not chopping down more trees. Further excites me about Dish.
I guess you will have to drop autopay if you want to keep the paper bill.
Paperless works fine for me when I can get to my account (which hasn't always been the case). I wade my way through the links to the PDF bill and save it on my computer. It saves filing cabinet space as well as trees.
Payperless not only reduces the amout of paper mail you recieve every month but may be a stress reviler too.
This happened to me too. I knew I didn't change it on my own. I liked getting the bill in the mail because sometimes I'd get a free pay-per-view coupon.

Oh well...trees saved.

I continue to receive a paper bill. People that are newly signed to CC Autopay are automatically switched to paperless. In fact, if you simply want to update the Expiration Date on your existing card it treats it as a new Autopay transaction and switches you to paperless.
Same happend to me (and I've had autopay forever). Notice that they don't give you the $0.01 Cinemax deal though ;), just "You're a lucky subscriber and we're switching you to paperless. Period."
They will switch you back if you contact them.

Yup.
Paperless would be OK if Dish didn't make YOU responsible for digging through their clumsy and often non-working web interface. Instead, I wish Dish would just E-MAIL the paperless PDF to me automatically. That would have the convenience of paper being delivered directly to you, without killing more trees and wasting postage.

Oh well, I guess it's time to turn paper back on and start the tree carnage.

I didn't see your post before mine.

Did you mean that if you call Dish that they will switch back on paper while keeping AutoPay? It was my understanding (from the phone message left on my home phone) that if you had AutoPay, you could no longer have paper, period.
That is correct paper switched back on and still on autopay.
