Autorecord stopped working.

I had an auto record that I had setup years ago that had worked until a few months ago. Here is a post I put out about it in Dec 05 (http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=49702).

Its basically an auto record for series premiers and another one for season premiers. I made it work by doing a keyword search and putting a space in as my selection. When I create a new auto-record with this criteria, it shows programs being found. However, the to-do shows none are scheduled to record.

This used to work perfectly, so I was wondering if a software update changed something or a bug?

Thanks

Sometimes my auto records stop working after a software update too. The only solution seems to be to delete it from the prioritizer and recreate it.

I tried that and they still don't work. Thanks for the response!
Funny, I just checked and none of my autorecords show anything in the to-do list, but they do seem to record stuff anyhow.

Seems its more of an on-the-fly decision that may or may not be put into the to-do list.

Or mine is screwed up the same way as yours is.
Auto records do not populate the To Do List untill about 24 to 36 hours prior to the show time. So no, you won't see them in the To Do List even a couple of days before the showing.

terrylmc,
Go in to your prioritizer, highlight the failing auto record, and press select. You should get a list of programs matching the auto record. If you do than it will probably work.

What I have found is sometimes after a software update the auto record no longer finds results. If it is deleted from the prioritizer and recreated it will then work as it did before.
Ok, so if I go to the to-do list I do not see anything scheduled from my autorecord.

If I go to the prioritizer and select it (even though it says none scheduled) it comes up with a list..

But, nothing is recording. Nothing is in the history either...
Thanks for the tip about prioritizer, this is a new concept for me.
Any idea why channel information is not part of prioritizer display?
Is there no way see what it is going to prioritize?
This whole prioritizer thing is confusing me.
Just to update, this is not working on either of my HR20's. I deleted all my auto-recordings and recreated them, things show up when you browse the to-do list from the priotizer (even though it says none scheduled), but nothing ever records.

Anyone have any tips, or is this just something they removed from the code?

I did this on both my receivers, but it still doesn't work...

I deleted it and recreated it, it still doesn't work..

Thanks for your help.

Because you are now in 2008, instead of a space you could type "HDTV". Who would watch a season premiere in SD?

Autorecords tend to be slow to populate in the to do list. Based on my experience they get recorded.
