I have a christmas auto record setup it's based on the keyword Christmas (of which I am positive it has missed a few things). Well here is my issue with the actual holiday season starting XM is now playing Christmas music all the time. My auto record is now picking up these music channels to record and it will take all the drive space if I let it. I finally removed it so that it didn't mess up other things. Anyone else see this issue? Wish I could tell it to ignore certain channels.

Just a thought. Use the Category of "Audio & Video" and Subcategory of "CC". From my search it returned 216 hits of which I didn't see any XM channels. It would make sense that all shows are CCed and no XM channels should be CCed, so that might work.

Boolean search logic sure would be helpful with something like this.

This may not be what you are looking for, but I love Christmas shows too and I did a keyword search for Christmas shows and it brought up several hundred returns, I decided to narrow this down a bit, since I was also really interested in Christmas movies, so I did keyword search Christmas and narrowed it down to "movies" it returned 80 Christmas movies. You might try narrowing your search down to see if it helps eliminate the XM Satellite Christmas channels. I also set up a keyword search Christmas>interests>holiday don't remember if that picked up the XM channels or not. But I know that keyword Christmas>movies did not.

I hope that someone else can be of more assistance.

Just saw that Wolffpack had already replied with a better suggestion then mine anyway.

I will give both of them a try, I tried to leave it a little more open ended as I wanted things that weren't just movies. I wanted to get the holiday specials and things like that. Just glad I caught what it was about to do before it deleted some stuff I hadn't watched yet.

It is good that you caught it when you did, I can imagine how frustrating it would have been to turn on the TV and see that your R 15 had recorded a hundred hours of XM Christmas music and deleted your regular programs. I too like other Christmas shows besides just the movies, like the specials etc. I'm set up to record The White House Christmas 2006 on HGTV I believe it is, just kind of an interesting look at the White House decorations that I traditionally watch each year along with the good old Charlie Brown Christmas. It would be nice to set up an autorecord for Christmas shows, specials and movies without getting the XM satellite channels hogging recording space.
You know you can avoid that problem when you get your HR 20 as at least so far (to my disappointment) the HR 20 can't record the XM Satellite channels. So an autorecord wouldn't pick them up. Supposedly that will change eventually or so I've heard.
